R.E.G.
Ari Summer aka r.e.g. is another up-and-coming Colorado Producer. I went to Boulder a few weekends ago to visit DJ/producer iONik for help making the SubSynthesis Exclusive Mix and he introduced me to his friend Ari. Ari, like iONik and so many others on the scene, is just a stand-up good dude who expresses himself best through music. He sent me a preview of this new release a few weeks ago, and even in its raw form I could tell it was going to be a fun track. The final release, an original by r.e.g., mastered by iONik, is infinitely better than the rough draft I originally heard. Give this Colorado artist some love and help him become the excellent producer he clearly has the potential to become!

As a side note, the rough draft of this song was entitled “Time”, only to be renamed Fading Away before official release. Although I like the new name better, I think it important to note that the time-distorting feeling of the way in which the track reinvents the old Bond theme song certainly brings the notion of time to mind. Perhaps the fading away is an act of time itself?
